Mr. Kostas Skagias, Ambassador of Aegean Islands & Strategy manager of Project Aegean Islands Promo had meetings with more than 20 British Tour Operators, promoting the Aegean islands and their members to the UK from the 30th of November to the 10th of December 2016.

During the meetings, mr. Skagias with mr. P. Bourovilis, Ambassador of the project in the UK, had the opportunity to discuss with T.Os, who already sell tourism packages for the destinations of Mykonos, Santorini and Crete and update their knowledge on the Aegean islands, as well as with T.Os that are interested in including Greece in their packages.

UK Tour Operators were very keen on learning more about the new infrastructure and the new options that Mykonos, Santorini and Crete provide to all visitors. Furthermore mr. Skagias highlighted the excellent quality services that the platinum and gold members of the project provide, the destination’s general infrastructure and other facilities.

They also had meetings with UK Tour Operators that are specialised in LGBT tourism, a niche tourism market with growing numbers of tourists worldwide.  The perspectives from the UK are very positive, regarding the Aegean islands, and the briefing to the UK T.Os about the Greek destinations will contribute to attract more visitors next year to Mykonos, Santorini and Crete.
