Greece’s restaurants, bars, and cafes can continue to occupy “extra” outdoor public space beyond that allowed by their permits, putting more tables and chairs out onto the street, until January 15, 2023, based on an amendment tabled by the interior ministry on Thursday, ANA reports.
The additional space, originally given as Greece eased out of Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns as a measure to slow the spread of Covid-19, can be double that initially given in permits or sufficient to put out the same number of tables and chairs.
